I would like to thank everyone who made the Women on Target shooting clinic on April 30 possible. I had attended the Teens on Target for high school girls this fall and was invited to clinic. I was also able to bring my mother, who hasn't had a chance to shoot since she moved to Alaska in 1994. My thanks go to the National Rifle Association, Women of the NRA, Friends of the NRA, Kenai Peninsula Chapter, Shoeshoe Gun Club, Kenai Peninsula Safari Club International, Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Hunter Heritage Foundation and Wilderness Way. Also, without the time of the volunteers it would not have been possible.
We wish to express our deepest gratitude to the volunteers and organizations that made our first Women on Target event a success. Because of your efforts, the women who participated in the class are now more skilled in firearm safety and handling.
