Meanwhile, Dalton's thrill-seeking war buddy Mickey (Liam Hemsworth) decides to tag along on the trip. With only one week to get home, convince Jane that his love is true, and return to the front lines, Dalton and Mickey make their way to the University of Michigan, where they find that Jane (Aimee Teegarden) has changed her name to Juniper, and fallen headlong into the thriving counterculture movement that wants American troops out of Vietnam.
