Bird Homestead Golf Report: Much-needed rain leads to slow week at Bird Homestead

Another week of our summer is gone. If you haven't been out yet this summer you are missing great fun. We had the KSRM Radio Group staff out last week playing a scramble. Golfing for quilts

Bird Homestead Golf Course had an excellent week packed full of activities. We started off Saturday morning with the Eighth Annual Funny River Quilters Benefit Golf Tournament. The tournament had a good turnout and let me tell you, those ladies can feed you like no one else can. They had so many baked goods and the best egg salad sandwiches I have ever eaten and then the barbecue after the tournament was more awesome food. The weather was perfect for the 18-hole scramble. The sun was bright all day and everyone had a great time.

Bird Homestead enjoys Fourth of July weekend

What a beautiful Fourth of July weekend. The weather brought many golfers to the Bird Homestead Golf Course over the weekend. We even had some overnighters that stayed and took advantage of our dry camping and enjoyed the course for a couple days.
