New owners turning the Music Box crank

For more than a quarter century Mike and Trish Silba have owned and operated the Music Box in Soldotna and Homer, but now as Trish and Mike focus their talents on video and audio duplication with their Memory Lane business, Scott and Gena Stahlecker, formerly of Austin, Texas, are the new Music Box owners. Throughout the years the Music Box has become famous among students and musicians as a place to buy the latest sheet music, quality name brand instruments, and just about any item related to the world of music. Coming from Austin, Texas a city known as one of America?s musical centers, the Stahlecker?s intend to continue what the Music Box has become known for while adding their personal touches to the stores, ?Mike and Trish have done a great job running the stores for the last 26 years and we don?t plane on a lot of changes here in Soldotna, however in Homer we have a major expansion underway at a new location off Lake Street in Homer and we will be more than doubling the square footage and bringing in a lot more inventory to that store,? Scott told the Dispatch.
