The last week has been awesome! The Alaska Junior State Championship was held on the Kenai Peninsula for the first time in the tournament's lengthy history.
A quick update on a busy July tournament schedule. ConocoPhillips is holding a nine-hole scramble Friday. Play will start at 8 a.m. We anticipate having the golf course open for regular play around 10 a.m.
The Birch Ridge Golf Report author is back after a week away in beautiful, sunny Palmer, Alaska. Birch Ridge hosted the Seward Seahawks Booster Club tournament over the weekend with great success.
The sixth annual Alaska Junior Open golf tournament had a different feel this year. For the first time ever, it was hosted on the Kenai Peninsula.
The pace of play is starting to pick up at Birch Ridge with a number of tournaments and events upcoming. The All-Alaska Pro-Am and Skins Game is set to take place July 14. The pro-am is a longtime favorite of golfers from all over state.
The golf scene here in sunny San Diego has been wonderful for the past week. Oh wait ? we're not in San Diego? This is still Soldotna, Alaska? I don't believe it! As my midseason form golf tan lines would tell you the weather and golf has been fantastic.
It's been a busy week at Birch Ridge Golf Course! Our first tournament of the year, The Birch Ridge Junior Golf Championship, was held Thursday morning.
Monday was the summer solstice and what a fantastic day. The golf course was busy all day and late into the night. Rumor has it the last golfer came off the course just before midnight.
