A year after opening its doors, the Triumvirate North Theatre is still going strong, as it holds two Christmas-themed plays this holiday season. In December 2013, the theater opened with a performance of "White Christmas.
"It's awesome!" and "Wow!" were two of the most common responses at Triumvirate North's open house June 17th. The purpose of the event was the unveiling of Nikiski's first outdoor wall mural created by artist James Adcox.
Summer art classes for kids registration open
The Alaska Children's Institute for the Performing Arts will by holding it's annual Drama Camp in Soldotna this summer!
Families that are looking for fun on a Saturday afternoon seldom turn to local movie theaters if they have small children. With only two theaters in the area, each with two or three screens, kids' films are relatively few and far between. But that may change.

Good day to all of my Nikiski neighbors. This is my last Neighbors column. I have enjoyed sharing with you the news and special occasions of our great little town. I have also been lucky enough to have been stopped by many of you, just to comment on things or to tell me they read what I wrote each week. Thank you to all of you and have a great summer.
