The Kenai Peninsula School District announced late Sunday evening that all Central Peninsula schools would be closed Monday due to safety concerns. The closed schools are in the area between, and including, Sterling to Ninilchik. The Southern Peninsula and the Seward area schools are not yet scheduled for closure. KPBSD will continue to assess the situation through the night; it will communicate its decision as soon as possible.
