Visitor center move would benefit Soldotna

Soldotna is a beautiful, vital, and vibrant community with a firm grasp on its heritage, while still embracing growth. The people of Soldotna have remained intimately involved in, and have remained dedicated to the continuous improvement of an already incredible community. Now, there is a unique opportunity facing the citizens of Soldotna. The question before the voters is: "Shall the City of Soldotna Purchase Property Located at 44075 Sterling Highway for $2,100,000 for the Purpose of Relocating the Soldotna Visitors Center?"

Opinion
Soldotna Chamber thanks all who voted

The Soldotna Chamber Board of Directors would like to thank all who voted in the May 1 special election to relocate the visitor center. The board believed this to be a great location and future asset to the residents of Soldotna. Although the results of the election did not agree with the project, the board will continue our goal to relocate the visitor center to a suitable location. The Chamber Board has been working for years on a solution to the growing demands of the visitor center and will continue to make this the best visitor center for both our members and visitors.
