Kenai Golf Report

Hello, golfers and happy belated Memorial Day. I must take a moment to thank all the men and women currently serving and the veterans, all of whom have done their part in preserving our freedoms and the freedoms of those less fortunate, and to send a prayer of thanks to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for us.

Kenai Golf Report: July offers golfers opportunities to improve their games

Fore, golfers. Another week of our summer has raced by. I don't know about you, but I certainly enjoyed the beautiful, sunny days and while the rainy days were not as welcome, they did afford me an opportunity to slow down and catch my breath. I am chomping at the bit for a little less liquid sunshine so I can get back out on the course and take my clubs for some exercise. The Kenai Golf Course is looking incredible, by the way.

Kenai Golf Report: All 18 greens in play at Kenai Golf Course

Could we have asked for better weather for the Memorial Day weekend? Last week when I submitted the column, I never even realized the holiday weekend was upon us. The Memorial Day holiday unofficially marks the beginning of summer and officially commemorates the U.S. servicemen and women who have paid the ultimate price for our personal freedoms. I would like to thank all the past and present members of the military, as well as our local fire and police departments, for keeping us safe. Some of my favorite people are veterans.
