Backyard chickens, street pothole issues need resolved

This is sort of like "Soldotna vs. Kenai" in my opinion. Which is worse? The "backyard chickens" ongoing discussion in Kenai, or the major potholes in Soldotna's city streets? I definitely would not want up to a dozen chickens in my neighbors yards! What would be next? Little pigs that grow up and turn into hogs, or calves that turn into full grown cattle, or maybe a pony that matures into a full blooded horse? I think not. If a person actually wants "farm animals" in their back yard, why don't they buy property in the country and not within city limits?
