Alaskans always willing to help

I would like to express my (belated) thanks and appreciation to Don Johnson and the two passing truckers who helped me out about six weeks ago. I was on my way into town when two moose came out of the woods and crossed the road in front of me.

Thanks to 'Alaska angels'

I would like to thank four "Alaska angels" who helped me out of a predicament last Friday. I had gone off the road and my front tires were mired in deep snow. Three men and a woman stopped to help. They shoveled the tires out and with the aid of a pick-up and a tow rope, pulled me out. I'm so grateful for their help, because this old lady could never have done it alone.

In the Clarion account of the Soldotna City Council meeting on April 10, Mr. Dixson is quoted as saying that he is "paid to make decisions for the benefit of the city, its residents and its employees.
