Opens Friday, Jun 7, 2013 Synopsis: Writer/director Joss Whedon (Serenity, Marvel's The Avengers) gives William Shakespeare's beloved battle-of-the-sexes comedy a contemporary makeover in this feature adaptation starring Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof. In the wake of an eventful trip abroad, Claudio (Fran Kranz) and Benedick (Denisof) arrive safely back in their hometown of Messina, where Claudio wastes no time declaring his love for Hero (Jillian Morgese). Alas, when clever Benedick learns that his friend has poured his heart out to the daughter of powerful governor Leonato (Clark Gregg), he chides his old friend relentlessly over the syrupy assertion while engaging Leonato's outspoken niece Beatrice (Acker) in a series of spirited debates. Meanwhile, somewhere amidst all of the pointed insults and playful barbs, something that strangely resembles true love seems to blossom between Benedick and Beatrice. Opens Friday, May 24, 2013 Synopsis: Acclaimed documentarian Alex Gibney (Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room) takes the reins for this no-holds-barred look at one of the most unusual phenomena of early 21st century media. In 2006, an Iceland-based outfit called The Sunshine Press launched the website WikiLeaks.org. As run by Australian Internet activist Julian Assange, the site's mandate involved regularly publishing top-secret documents and covert information, often regarding governments and their respective military operations. As might be expected, this set off a firestorm between those who admired the organization's bravado and resourcefulness, and those who argued, not unjustly, that the dissemination of data regarding such events as the U.S. war in Afghanistan could put untold numbers of lives at risk. Now Playing Synopsis: A reserved, single English teacher comes out of her shell to help a former student realize his dreams of becoming a playwright in this warm-hearted comedy drama. Linda Sinclair (Julianne Moore) teaches high-school English in Kingston, PA. Forty and single, she's content to spend her evenings curled up with a good book in her cozy apartment. Linda's staid routine is suddenly interrupted, however, with the unexpected reappearance of her most promising pupil, Jason Sherwood (Michael Angarano). Having failed to make his mark as a playwright in New York City, Jason has returned home to Kingston humbled, and convinced that success has passed him by. Now Playing Synopsis: As directed by Alice Winocour, this period drama travels back to the Belle Époque of 1890s France for an intense chronicle of a young woman's sexual awakening. Soko stars as Augustine, a 19-year-old servant at an upper-crust home in Paris. One night, she lapses into a seizure while serving dinner, and the homeowners promptly have her shipped off to the Pitié-Salpêtriere Psychiatric Hospital, where numerous women are being treated for hysteria. Augustine catches the eye of Dr. Jean-Martin Charcot (Vincent Lindon), especially after he notices that her seizures are accompanied by intense bouts of physical pleasure. Fascinated, the doctor begins using the young woman for neurological experiments set up to study behavior under hypnosis. Over time, the dividing line between professional and personal begins to blur and the two are transitioned from doctor and patient to erotically intertwined lovers.
