Letter writer offers apology, explanation

I apologize for the letter expressing my beliefs about diplomacy as opposed to war with Iran in Tuesday's Clarion. More precisely this letter was written by the Vice President of Veterans for Peace and I failed to acknowledge his authorship. It was so well written I succumbed to my desire to look good and to claim association with his ideas without realizing that I was plagiarizing him. I am sorry for doing so.

Ditching pessimism

I was born in 1932 and grew up with all the fear and negativism of adults who had just experienced the great depression and were living in ignorance of people that were different from themselves.
