What happened to common sense on the road?

I just finished reading the letter by Mathew Cannava "A Little Consideration, Please" in the Sept. 11 edition of the Peninsula Clarion and it ignited my frustration over area drivers and their inconsiderate behavior when behind the wheel of a multi ton weapon. To clarify, I am going to relate two experiences I recently encountered in the Soldotna area.

Soldotna seniors grateful for support

Soldotna Senior Center's Fall Round-Up fundraiser was a great success and would like to thank all of the dedicated volunteers that worked tirelessly and did an exemplary job soliciting for door prizes and auction items, decorating, ticket sales, setting up, reception, cooking, serving, auctioneers, taking pictures, dish washing, and clean up. We would like to thank the Spur Highway Spankers for their 12th year in volunteering for this event and their awesome music and talent.
Art show an exquisite event

Working as a volunteer at Soldotna Senior Center can be exciting and rewarding. On Nov. 1-2 Soldotna Senior Center presented its 17th annual amateur art show. The show was outstanding because of the efforts of those who participated. Thanks to Brian Erwin, Charlie Weimer and Pat Lytle for judging the entries. Thank you to Millie Evans and Estelle Parks for receiving and logging entries, to Connie Goltz, Betty Seimion and Kathy East for the excellent arrangement of the art pieces placed on display.
