Borough to consider river protection tax credits

Ordinance 2011-37, introduced by assembly member Bill Smith, seeks to expand the already existing tax credits and exemptions on 25 of the borough's streams to all of the streams that became protected in June.

4 injured in Yukon Island plane crash

A Smokey Bay Air single-engine plane crashed Tuesday morning on Yukon Island, injuring a man and three women. All four victims were taken by Maritime Helicopters to Homer and treated at South Peninsula Hospital.
