Professor Boraas honored: Kenai Peninsula College teacher recognized for achievements

The Kenai Chamber of Commerce honored Dr. Alan Boraas with the Log Cabin Award at its annual awards banquet. Boraas, professor of anthropology, received the award in recognition of his extensive work with the Kenaitze Indian Tribe and their language preservation program, as well as his involvement establishing the Tsalteshi Trails. The chamber acknowledged Dr. Boraas' longtime association with KPC and the University of Alaska, his many community activities and his frequent, thought-provoking articles that have appeared in various publications.
