Something in the Air

Now Playing Synopsis: Director Olivier Assayas' Something in the Air stars Clément Métayer as Gilles, a politically radical French high-school student in 1971. Three years removed from the social upheaval of the French youth rebellion of 1968, Gilles and his friends still espouse pro-Communist revolutionary rhetoric, and, after a vandalism attack against their school goes terribly wrong, they split up for the summer and follow different tracks in their personal and political education. Something in the Air screened at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi Cast: Clement Metayer, Lola Créton, Felix Armand, Carole Combes, India Salvor Menuez Movie Details Play Trailer Buy Tickets Movie Review

Amour

Now Playing Synopsis: An octogenarian couple find their love put to the ultimate test when one of them suffers a stroke, and the other must assume the role of the caretaker in this compassionate yet unsentimental drama from director Michael Haneke. Georges (Jean-Louis Trintignant) and Anne (Emmanuelle Riva) are retired classical-music teachers savoring their golden years in a comfortable apartment when Anne experiences a stroke that leaves her partially paralyzed. As devoted Georges struggles with the formidable task of becoming Anne's full-time caretaker, a visit from their adult daughter Eva (Isabelle Huppert) reaffirms just how secluded from society the highly educated couple have become since retiring. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi Cast: Jean-Louis Trintignant, Emmanuelle Riva, Isabelle Huppert, Alexandre Tharaud, William Shimell, Ramón Agirre, Rita Blanco, Carole Franck, Dinara Droukarova Movie Details Play Trailer Buy Tickets Movie Review
