House education panel delves into vo-tech credits

JUNEAU - The House Education Committee on Friday took up funding aspects of an education bill by Gov. Sean Parnell that would allow vocational credits to be counted as high school credits for participating students.

KPC Welcome Back BBQ showcases new campus additions

Like picking the right number on a roulette wheel, KPC hit a sunny day for their welcome back to school annual barbeque. "We've made some good choices and it seems like every turn we take is along the right road, even the weather is what we asked for," commented Kenai Peninsula College (KPC) director Gary Turner.
