Citizens of the Kenai Peninsula Borough recently made it clear that they did not want our Central Peninsula Hospital to be sold or join in a joint venture. I thought a partnership might be advantageous, but since the borough still owns our hospital, it must protect its assets. If $20 million (or even much less) per year is diverted from the hospital's revenues, it will have a major negative impact on our citizens' tax bills and on the City of Soldotna and Kenai Peninsula Borough having funding to provide services.
